How good is your life?

The work of Dr Kubler Ross on death and dying can be an inspiration to those for whom death is not an immediate concern. One aspect of grieving about which she writes is 'life review'.

A life review is designed to focus people's attention on the joys and achievements of the life of one who has passed on. By reflecting on the wonderful relationships, the exciting journeys, the manifold achievements, and the contributions made to others, we can truly feel comfortable and grateful for the life of that person. This reduces the pain and grief of their absence.

Similarly, you can sit down and do a life review at 30, 40, 50, 60 or whatever age. The review would require you to think about how blessed you tour have such a rich life, to consider the joys of friendships, family and loved ones, and to be proud of the achievements that have been part of your presence on this planet.

One way to have a better life is to feel grateful for the life you have. One way to have the best life possible is to enjoy every moment that you have and to contribute as much you can to others.
